Railswest Railroad Museum - Council Bluffs, Iowa
In this 1899 Rock Island Railroad depot in Council Bluffs, Iowa, has been established a museum dedicated to railroad history—especially relating to the westward expansion of the United States and to the railroad development during the steam era.
Memorabilia such as historic photographs, examples of passes, dining car artifacts, uniforms, and timetables are on display. Since trains were a major part of the history of the town, the RailsWest Model Railroad tries to recreate that time. It depicts the operations of the railroads in the surrounding area. The exhibit is in a room 22 feet by 34 feet and is operational.

More than 10 miles of underground cables link the turbines and send the electricity to a electric sub-station. Thirteen landowners participate in the wind farm project. Turbines can be viewed from nearby roads.

Boone And Scenic Valley Railroad - Boone, Iowa Visitors can hop aboard a train beginning in Boone with vintage railroad cars and take a fifteen or twenty-two mile round-trip. This excursion wends its way through the beautiful Des Moines River valley and takes one over two bridges—one trestle is 156-foot high. Weekdays the nine-car train is pulled by a diesel engine. On weekends and holidays, The Iowan, said to be the first Chinese steam locomotive in the United States, does the work.
The Wolf Train and the Dinner Train trips are each twenty-two miles round-trip. Riders should allow at least two hours for a trip.

Granny Basketball players donate their time to play. They have games from January thru May around the state and have the joy of watching more and more people want to get a team together in other areas of the state.

Adler Theatre - Davenport, IowaFormerly the Orpheum theater built in 1926 has had historical significance to the community. The theatre was renamed the Adler Theatre in 1981 when it underwent a huge restoration. It now is a wonderful place to see great entertainment in Davenport.
The massive renovation of the Adler Theatre began in 1984 and continued for two years. The building was essentially gutted and then restored to its former Art Deco elegance.
