Aunty Green Hotel - Bonaparte, IA
Built in 1844 as the first brick home in Bonaparte this residence was converted to a hotel in 1855.
The hotel was dicontinued in the 1960’s. In 1971 restoration plans began and are still going forward, to get the property back to it’s original state. The lower rooms are used as a public library and the remaining rooms, including the 2nd story, are now a museum open for the public.
Apple Tree Museum - Burlington, Iowa
The museum has been housed at 1616 Dill St. (Located in part of the old Charles Perkins home) in Burlington for a number of years, but due to the growth of the displays the museum is moving at the end of 2007 season (October) when it will move to the old Burlington Public Library building. This move will give the museum considerably more space to display the items of interest to the public.

“Medicine Eagle” Gathering of the People PowWow - Keokuk, Iowa
During Bald Eagle Days on January 19 - 20, 2008 there will be a PowWow for all to see. Even if you have never been to one, don’t really know what they are about, come and enjoy the days of history, story telling, tradition. The costuming, the warmth of hospitality and the beating of the drums will certainly be an interesting adventure for the novice and a trip back with friends for those that have attended a PowWow before.
Wyoming Historical Museum- Wyoming, Iowa

The old Hotel Williams, built in 1874 in Wyoming, Iowa, has been renovated and now houses the town’s historical museum. This features an unusual display of drug store items. Like many Iowa drug stores, this collection also includes items from an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. There are replicas of an old dental office and an old barbershop.
