This is a new museum on campus. You will certainly want to visit to see the great works created by numerous talented artists and named for the nations first permanent campus artist-in-residence. The museum contains the largest collection of public works of art at any college or university in the nation. There are over 3,000 objects ranging in size from large sculptures to sketches on paper exhibited and stored in the new museum.

Not too far from the Mississippi River that runs through Iowa you will find the little town of Oakville. The town got devastated by the floods of 2008 but with all the devastation came the wonders of the past. The flood unearthed a prehistoric village buried under the ground that was washing open during the flood.
