Easter Seals Camp - Des Moines, Iowa
This is a fabulous opportunity for those that want to enjoy the camping experience but are not able to go to the standard facility. Easter Seals offers boating, swimming, horseback riding, the campfire experience and the opportunity to make new friends and gain new talents. All this while under the supervision of camp councilors dedicated to making the experience one that brings smiles to the faces of the campers.

Pufferbilly Days - Boone, Iowa
Known for being a Railroad Town Boone celebrates Pufferbilly Days the first weekend after Labor Day annually. The celebration is rated as one of the top 5 celebrations in Iowa with over 30,000 people every year.

Des Moines Arts Festival - Des Moines, Iowa
- The Des Moines Arts Festival, Iowa’s premier celebration of the arts, is moving to a new location in Downtown Des Moines’ Western Gateway Park on June 23-25, 2006. Each year, Iowa’s only free, three-day celebration of the arts, decorates downtown with exceptional artwork, entertainment and children’s activities.

Danish Windmill - Elk Horn, Iowa
This windmill was built originally in Norre Snede, Denmark in 1848. In 1975 it was shipped to Elk Horn and restored to its original working condition. Guided tours of the 60-foot mill are given and one can see gears and grinding stones. It is also used as a welcome center. The mill grinds wheat and rye by wind power. Visitors can view a 10-minute video. In the Gift shop items from Denmark may be purchased.
Danish Immigrant Museum - Elk Horn, Iowa
This museum in Elk Horn tells stories of the experiences of Danish immigrants as they traveled from Denmark to various parts of North America. Its exhibits include collections of tools, clothing, photographs, and household furnishings. The building has been designed to represent a Danish barn.

Dallas County Forest Park Museum And Arboretum - Perry, Iowa
This museum in Perry, Iowa presents both culture and natural history displays of the area. Much of the museum is devoted to local history; the arboretum section features a collection of trees brought in from all parts of the United States. In the museum visitors can look at examples of mining tools, early types of transportation, and farm equipment.
Dallas County Courthouse - Adel, Iowa
This courthouse in Adel, Iowa, which was built in 1902, is considered to be one of the best examples of civic architecture in the state. The architects were inspired by the styles of French chateaus as they designed the structure. The streets surrounding the courthouse square are paved with brick. The stores facing the structure have been renovated as a part of the town’s participation in the National Trusts for Historic Preservation’s Main Street Program.
Corn Carnival - Gladbrook, Iowa
For over 85 years the community of Gladbrook has held a Corn Carnival for the residents and visitors to their town.
The summertime celebration, held in July, has everything you could want in a small town celebration. There are fireworks, concerts by the high school band, Litte Miss and Mr. Corn Carnival adn a Kiddies Parade. There is a carnival for all to enjoy.
Children’s Museum Of Central Iowa - Ames, Iowa
This facility in Ames is designed to provide alternative entertainment for families, with the opportunity to educate with science and technology, experience fine arts, study natral history and it has physical play exhibits. The target audience for this museum is the kindergarten through the 10th grade.
Chicago, Milwaukee, And St. Paul Depot - Adel, Iowa
This passenger depot was built in the early 1900s to serve the railroad that ran through Adel until 1952. The building has now been renovated. Since the railbed is now the Raccoon River Valley Trail, the depot serves now as a stopping place on that trail. This trail features 34 miles of natural beauty through both Dallas and Guthrie Counties.
