Belmond Historical Museum – Belmond, Iowa
Located in downtown Belmond, the museum preserves the history of Belmond. Many of the items were gifted by Belmond Residents. The exhibits depict events in the early life of Belmond pioneers since the turn of the century. Authentic postal window and clothing are part of the collection.
The museum is housed in one of Belmond’s oldest buidlings. In this museum visitors will find artifacts and displays that show the local history of Belmond and the surrounding areas. Many of the items have been gifts of Belmond residents. Nearby an old country schoolhouse has been relocated to the River Park and restored.
