When the movie The Bridges of Madison County was filmed in the Winterset area, this late 1800s homestead was used as Francesca’s farm. It had been abandoned for more than 35 years, and was restored for the movie. It has been furnished with period memorabilia and can be toured.

Admission – Fee is charged

Directions – near County Road G14, south of State Road 5, and east of U. S. Interstate 35
