Visitors can experience hands-on, interactive types of exhibits and learn about the physical and life sciences. The Digitstar Planetarium, Challenger Learning Center where one can pretend to be an “astronaut,” and small discoveries and laser shows allow young and old draw upon their scientific knowledge. Temporary exhibits on many different science-related topics are presented all during the year. Specialized “scientific” merchandise is available in the Gift Shop. Certain “shows” are scheduled on a daily basis; others are shown on weekends.

Admission – $5.50 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 3-12 and adults over 60 (children 2 and under and Science Center members free

Hours – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Saturday; noon – 5:00 p.m., Sunday (closed Thanksgiving Day and December 25); Planetarium shows are presented daily at noon, 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., laser light shows are presented at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday)
