This building in Marshalltown, designed by the Iowa State University Architectural School, houses an outstanding collection of original paintings by Impressionist and post-Impression artists, such as Mary Cassatt, Alfred Sisley, and Edgar Degas.
Visitors can also look at an excellent collection of ceramic pieces—both contemporary and historical.
Regional and local artists are featured in temporary exhibits. There is a gift shop on the premises.

Kellogg Historical Museum - Kellogg, Iowa
The small town of Kellogg has a seven building museum complex. The citizens began the preservation of their heritage in 1980 by restoring old run-down buildings in their downtown. The #1 building is a two-story museum; originally it had been a hotel built to house the passengers departing from the train.
Watson’s Grocery Store - State Center, Iowa
An old-fashioned grocery and mercantile store, built in 1895, has been restored in State Center, Iowa. The original fixtures and the early oak cabinetry are still in place. Visitors can study the collection of period grocery items and dry goods.
Farm House Museum - Ames, Iowa
This was the first building erected after Iowa took advantage of the Land Grant Act and founded Iowa State College and Model Farm. It appears now as it did in the era between 1860 and 1910. In its collection it has over 6,000 pieces of Victorian decorative art and antique furnishings.
Rock Creek State Park - Kellogg, Iowa
This state park near Kellogg, Iowa, has one of central Iowa’s most popular boating lakes. Any size boat more may be operated on the 602-acre lake at “no wake” speeds. Dock spaces are available for rent at several places around the lake.
Ridge Riders Saddle Club - Tama/Toledo, Iowa
This is the club that welcomes you with events, camping and trail rides.
The club has updated their campsite and opened it up to those that want to be around horse people. There is camping, & overnight stop for travelers, with equine. The upgrading of the 77 acres of the club are an ongoing project. Come back often to see how the work is progressing.
Trainland - Colfax, Iowa
For your enjoyment in Colfax, Iowa is this museum, using toy trains, the train buffs depict the development of the railroad across the United States. Frontier, steam, and diesel eras are represented. There is over 2,600 square feet of display areas and around 25 trains can be operated. Some 60 operating Lionel accessories in their original state are displayed.
Reiman Gardens - Ames, Iowa

This wildlife area near Ralston, Iowa, encompasses 1500 acres of marsh and prairie wildlife habitat. It is considered by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources as one of the top “watchable” wildlife areas. Also found in the area are some unique artesian wells.
