PIONEER HERITAGE MUSEUM – Marengo, Iowa
This museum displays buidlings from the 1800′s and early 1930′s. See the 1861 log house and bachelor’s cabin, 1861 railroad depot, 1930 filling station.
There is a historical resource library for those interested in a deeper research of the time and area. Displays include section of reconstructed farm house, one room school, general store, doctor’s office. See how the pioneers survived in the era, purchased goods, experience their educational facilities and think of how you would feel being treated in the doctor’s office of the time.
