There have been floral displays in the park in Davenport since the first glass palm house was built in 1897. The park is known for its glorious outdoor gardens. One such is an accredited All-American Rose Selection garden. That section has more than 1,200 roses. Another area is a Hosta Glade with numerous varieties. In a separate part is an Exotic Vegetable Display; somewhere else one will find an accredited All-American Selections Annual Display Garden. The park planners have placed a lagoon near the gardens where ducks can make their home. The Botanical Center has changing displays all year long.

The children’s playground and lagoon area are favorite family spots for year-round activities of catch-and-release fishing and ice skating. Feeders provide grains for park visitors to feed the ducks during the spring and summer.

Conservatory admission is $1 for adults, free for children 16and under.
