DUBUQUE ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDENS – Dubuque, Iowa
Description – On the site visitors can find shade gardens, woodland trails, prairie flowers and grasses, “seed savers” display gardens, dwarf conifer collection, ornamental trees and shrubs, food plants, waterfalls, and water gardens. Of exceptional quality are the hosta glade (nation’s largest) and the rose gardens. In the visitor center is a library, second floor viewing balcony and screened-in sitting rooms. Guided tours are available. Handicapped transportation is available with a prior reservation. Free concerts are presented in the summer.

Directions – 3 miles west on U. S. Highway 20 from the junctions of U. S. Highways 52, 16, 151, 2.5 miles north on John Kenney Road, and 1 block east on West 32nd Street, to Arboretum Drive
