I don,t know for certain if this is the correct place to post thoughts for the “Portrait of Maquoketa” project. However, this is my thought. In 1846 my great-great grandfather settled in Jackson County. I can’t but help marvel at all the changes that have taken place since then. But I hope one thing stays the same-Jackson County-”Simply Beautiful”
