Eagle Point Park - Clinton, Iowa
Description – Overlooking the Mississippi River and General Zebulon Pike Lock and Dam (No. 11) are the 164 acres known as Eagle Point Park. Visitors are provided with spectacular views of the river and parts of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. Shelter buildings constructed from native stone are available by reservation. Dyer-Botsford Victorian House And Doll Museum - Dyersville, Iowa
This 1850 Victorian home was built by the founder of Dyersville three years after the town was platted out and has been renovated. The rooms are furnished with period antiques circa 1870 to 1900 and decorated with Victorian wallpaper. More than 900 dolls are displayed in the upstairs rooms, posed among antique tables, buggies, cradles, and toys. Another interesting highlight is a 1912 revolving Christmas tree that has been decorated with German, Polish, and Czech ornaments.
DUBUQUE MUSEUM OF ART - Dubuque, Iowa
Description – This museum originally was located in a “work of art,” an Egyptian Revival structure built in 1858 as the County Jail. It was constructed of gray native limestone with cast-iron columns. In 1999, the museum moved to a new nearby location. It displays both locally and nationally known artists in various media: painting, etching, print making, and sculpture.
DUBUQUE ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDENS - Dubuque, Iowa
Description – On the site visitors can find shade gardens, woodland trails, prairie flowers and grasses, “seed savers” display gardens, dwarf conifer collection, ornamental trees and shrubs, food plants, waterfalls, and water gardens. Of exceptional quality are the hosta glade (nation’s largest) and the rose gardens. In the visitor center is a library, second floor viewing balcony and screened-in sitting rooms.

Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village, Long Grove, Iowa
Out near the small town of Long Grove in the Scott County Park are over eighteen restored buidlings that have been moved in from other parts of the county to form a pioneer village similar to many settled in the early days of Scott County. Among them are an old bank, saloon, one-room school, blacksmith shop, general store, and a place where a cobbler worked. An old 1853 church, called St. Ann’s, has been added to the village.

Crystal Lake Cave Nature’s Masterpiece - Dubuque, Iowa
The Midwest’s longest natural living cave with it’s abundance of rare formations is located in Dubuque, Iowa.
In 1868 lead miners drilled 40 feet into the ground to find traces of a rich lead vein. In this process they found very little lead, but instead discovered a natural geological wonder of matchless beauty. In 1932, the late Bernard Markus, (one of the original lead miners), opened the cave to the public, naming it Crystal Lake Cave.
Credit Island - Davenport, Iowa
This is an historic island in Davenport that is now a community park and playground. Here visitors can begin a bike outing or hiking trip on parts of the Great River Trail in Illinois and a portion of the trails that are part of a project called “River Action” in Iowa. The Quad Cities portion is called “RiverWay.” On Credit Island one can ride by an Art in the Park wooden sculpture display, which is a 3-D replica of Seurat’s painting entitled “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.” Playground facilities and picnic areas are available. Visitors can sit and watch the traffic on the Mississippi River.
Costello’s Old Mill Wedding Site and Reception Hall - Maquoketa, Iowa
Formerly Costello’s Old Mill Art Gallery - Maquoketa, Iowa
This historic limestone grist mill in Maquoketa has had many different lives. Originally it had been the Oakland Mill, built in 1867 as a water-powered turbine that supplied the power for grinding wheat. Later on, it was a cattle barn. It was an was used as a cattle barn to house horses and cows. It was an art gallery/home to wildlife artist, Patrick J. Costello from 1979 to 2006. Patrick’s daughter, Tracy Costello Taylor has turned it into Costello’s Old Mill Wedding Site and Reception Hall, a place to gettting married in the park-like backyard and have your reception just a few steps away in the historic charming mill. Have any special event there! The mill has been featured on Home and Garden TV TWICE!

Col. George Davenport Home - Quad Cities, Iowa
This historic mansion was built in the middle of the Mississippi River on Arsenal Island at the Quad Cities in 1833 when Colonel Davenport began the work of changing the area from a frontier settlement to a bustling community. The home is located on the north shore of the Island, and is the oldest residence in the Quad Cities area.
