Quad Cities – Summer is the season for fairs and the Mississippi Valley Fair in the Quad Cities is one of the longest running around. The Mississippi Valley Fair opens for its 91st year Tuesday through Sunday, August 3-8, 2010. It is one of the largest fairs in the State of Iowa attracting more than 300,000 people. New for 2010 there are unlimited carnival rides on Wednesday-Friday from 11 am-5 pm with a $15 wristband. Wednesday is Kid’s Day with free admission for kids 12 and under until 5 pm.
