    Winnebago Industries Visitor Center - Forest City, Iowa

Forest City is the home of the largest motor home manufacturing facility in the world, Winnebago Industries, Inc. Founded in 1958, this company was the first to build motor homes in an automotive-style assembly line system. They build five different brands of motor homes: Winnebago, Itasca, Vectra, Luxor, and Rialta. 

At this center, one can look at both modern and historic RVs. Tours lasting 1½ hours show the manufacture and assembly of motor homes.

Admission – None

Directions – 1 mile south on U. S. Highway 69, west on State Highway 69, then north on Fourth Street

Hours – Free tours are offered twice daily (Monday through Friday) April through October at 9:00 a.m. and 1 p.m.
November through mid-December, one daily tour is offered at 1:00 p.m.

Regular daily tours are not offered mid-December through March 31 and for one week in July. Special accommodations can be arranged for large tour groups. Reservations are recommended for groups larger than 6 people.
