This is the only museum in existence that devotes itself to the HOBO way of life. Through its exhibits and displays is shown the intricate history of hobo life with lots of railroad memorabilia. The hobo story is told in photographs, artifacts, and video. This museum is an integral part of the National Hobo Convention which has been held in Britt since 1900.

Hours – 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, June – August; mornings, September — May, weekends by appointment

The National Hobo Convention will be held August 12-15, 2010 in Britt.  The date changes annually so check back for later events.

    Good article this am on Sunday Morning CBS…My Dad was a Hobo and had many stories to share, the main one, he nailed his partners boots to the floor while he was asleep, there was no quick escape for him………….sm

  2. looking forward to britt this year, first time. if you have any ideas on lodging will be helpfull.in my research i came across an article that said there was a hobo house.i can no longer sleep on the ground, do to bad ad legs and hips. if you have any info for me, id sure like it. thank you for your time. karinwiegand@yahoo,com DEERAIL
