In this car museum are showcased 1947 and 1948 American convertibles and car memorabilia. The museum especially features Packards of that era.

Vintage car enthusiasts will enjoy this museum featuring American convertibles of marques ranging from Chevys to Lincolns to Hudsons to Packards from 1947 and 1948. The cars comprise the nucleus of the collection of Daryl Hemken, housed in downtown Williams, which is north of Des Moines on I-35.

This center will provide interpretive information about the fossils in the area and the nearby native prairie. The park has over 400 acres, of which 80 contains the flora of a typical Iowa prairie.

This 400-acre park is a unique attraction, being one of only three known public fossil collecting sites in the nation (CNN, 2003). The Devonian fossils can be easily collected by visitors of any age, attracting school groups from elementary through college, as well as researchers and families.

Front Street has the following examples of establishments, all furnished with period memorabilia: cabinet shop, drugstore, general store, jail, log chapel, log house, newspaper office, schoolhouse, and smithy.

This museum is housed in the former Dr. Salsbury Laboratories building. It contains many exhibits depicting local history places or events. These include a pioneer log cabin, an original turn-of-the-century drugstore with soda fountain, county schools information, period rooms, and items relating to the development of the Hart-Parr gas tractors—one of the first companies to manufacture this type of equipment. The museum’s collection contains over 10,000 items and expanding its facility.

Eagle City Winery - Ackley, Iowa in 1992 Ken began making wine from the various wild fruits and berries that grew on and around their acreage such as elderberries, raspberries, mulberries, chokecherries and wild plums. In1996 they began planting a small vineyard.

The Eagle City Winery was completed in June of 2000 and obtained state and federal Class A wine permits as well as label approval for 5 varieties of wine. These are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling and Cranberry wine. They started selling wine, both retail and wholesale in mid-December of 2000.
