Along a converted railroad bed a 52-mile nature trail linking Cedar Falls and Waterloo has been developed. This “linear” park features beautiful scenery and historical landmarks along the way. Different sections of the trail parallel the Cedar River. The trail is described as “mulit-use,”—generally restricted to non-motorized, non-equestrian activities, such as hiking, biking, roller-blading, and nature walks. In the winter, one can go cross-country skiing.
