Hearst Center Cedar Falls.gifHearst Center for the Arts – Cedar Falls, Iowa

This center offers a wide range of opportunities to experience art, whether it is through looking at the fabulous permenant display of regional and local artists to the works of the greats such as Dali, Paccaso or others you will find them at the Herst Center for the Arts.  Not only are there paintings and sketches but they have such things as Russian Icons, postage stamp designs and items from other private and public collections.

On the Hearst Center stage you’ll find musicians, dancers and performers of every type, from classical soloists to blues and jazz; from poetry and literature readings to dance and drama.  If you enjoy art, you will enjoy the performances by these talented artists.

You’ll enjoy lectures and discussions that will provoke insights into new ideas, points of view and experiences.  Participate in the sessions and go away knowing that you have been exposed to, and learned from, great talents.

Have you always wanted to get involved in the arts but felt, for one reason or the other that you would be embarrassed then you will love being involved with the people that go to the classes at the Center.  You’ll find classes and workshops in drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, performance, creative writing, and more.

Classes are designed for specific age groups, from pre-schoolers to senior citizens, and are kept small to give excellent classroom experiences and access to instructors.

The Sculpture Garden is a fabulous place to unwind, to enjoy the beauty of nature while seeing some quality sculpture art too.  Take a few minutes, wander through the garden and reflect on life.
