Backbone State Park - Strawberry Point, Iowa
This park near Strawberry Point, Iowa, encompasses 1,750 acres and derives its name from the high ridge of rock in its center. It contains natural springs, caverns, and a man-made lake. Limestone bluffs rise 80 to 90 feet above the Maquoketa River. Camping, picnicking, hiking, boating, fishing, and swimming are permitted.
ANTIQUE ACRES - Cedar Falls, Iowa
Near a 70-site campground, one can learn about the history of agriculture through various displays. In the collection visitors can see restored and preserved antique steam, saw mill, and farm machinery.
Granny Basketball - Lansing, Iowa

This organization is for women over 50 that still want to play basketball, be fit and enjoy themselves while helping others.
Granny Basketball players donate their time to play. They have games from January thru May around the state and have the joy of watching more and more people want to get a team together in other areas of the state.

In an old historic church and nearby are items that relate to the history of the area. One can find prehistoric artifacts and Native American arrowheads. In the complex is an actual pioneer log cabin with furnishings and an example of an early lodge hall.
