Old Fashioned Soda Fountain – West Bend, Iowa
This old-fashioned soda fountain, in West Bend is located in The Villager. It will take you back in time to the early 1930’s. It was tradition for people to take a break from work or study to have a malt, shake, soda or other special treat at the local soda fountain.
The tradition allowed neighbors to visit, school friends to catch up on the local gossip and a safe and tastey place to gather.
Adjoining The Villager is the old Mike’s Meat Market building, which was remodeled into a gift shop in 2000.
