The fishing contest starts the event off and is for children 14 and under. The requirement is they must have a parent (or adult supervision), bring their own equipment and MUST USE SWEET CORN FOR BAIT, IT WILL BE PROVIDED!
The scheudle for the event for 2007 follows but the activities will probably be the same every year. This is something for the whole family.

Children ages 3 through 12 will be entertained with 3 legged races, hula hoop contests, balloon toss, and more! A dunk tank with local celebrities will also be featured!

Pre-registration, or register on August 5th between 7:30 and 8:15 AM. Races begin at Estherville Middle School, and end in Library Square. Trophies will be awarded to overall male and female winners.

Dozens of artisans will present their crafts and handmade goods, as well as, vendor items! Come view all that they have to offer, and pick something up for yourself.
SWEET CORN DAYS PARADE

A kiddy parade will lead in to the main event–featuring the Shriners, marching bands, and many other floats. Prizes will be awarded for best individual float and best commercial float. Parade can be seen live on Channel 3! To register a parade entry, contact the Chamber at 362-3541.
