Sergeant Floyd Riverboat MuseumSergeant Floyd Riverboat Museum And Welcome Center – Sioux City, Iowa

This museum is housed in a river inspection ship now drydocked in Sioux City. It was used for 50 years by the Army Corps of Engineer on the Missouri River and was a part of its construction fleet. Here visitors can learn about the history of transportation on that river through rare photographs, artifacts, and dioramas. Here one can see America’s largest collection of scale models of Missouri River steamboats and keelboats. The building also contains Iowa’s only professional model-shipbuilding shop. In the museum another special focus is the 1804 Lewis and Clark expedition.
