Artisans Road Trip – Northwestern, Iowa
Taking a trip around Northwestern Iowa to see the creations of talented people in the arts community will be a fabulous way to spend a couple of days in the early fall of the year. You will have the opportunity to take the self guided tour to the different studios in the area to discover beautiful artworks and make the purchase that will be perfect for your home or for that special gift.
The Artisans Road Trip has been an annual event for 5 years with the visitors and the artists looking forward to next year with new and exciting artwork, creative thoughts and welcoming studios! This event is free to all that want to come. It is a self driving tour so you can spend as much time in each studio as you desire without feeling pressured to move on with the group.
A.R.T. will provide everyone with a printed brochure with directions to all the artists’ studios. You will be able to view some of the outstanding works in watercolors, tight pen & ink, oils, photography as well as some fabulous blown glass creations. There is pottery for you to admire and purchase as well as outstanding displays of stained glass work. If that isn’t enough to get you excited then how about sculpture? See some of the stunning work done by these artists in their studios. Some sculpture is clay and some is glass and of course metal, such a talent!
Along with all the other types of artistry you will see some outstanding creations in ceramics, jewelry and wood creations. With over 41 artists participating in this outstanding event you will certainly find the right piece of art for your home or office.

The crisp air, the scenic highways, the gracious people and talented artists will make you so glad you came that it will become a yearly event for you and those you tell about what a fabulous time you had and show them the beautiful item(s) you purchased.
Location: Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, O’Brien, Palo Alto, Webster counties in Iowa. You can start your tour near the Minnesota border and travel to the center of the state, from Spirit Lake to Storm Lake and more!
