Harker House – Storm Lake, Iowa
The furniture, almost all Victorian walnut, is original. All the photographs and clothing the family treasured through the years is on display for your enjoyment.
The house is French (Mansard) cottage style, including a flat roof and a "widow’s walk". It was built by J.M. Russell for $500. In 1945, Nora Marie Harker determined to restore her grandparent’s old home, and with the help of the best carpenters and experts she could find, Marie restored the house to it’s current elegance.
