The Old Factory - Orange City, Iowa
This site is located in the old wooden shoe factory—one of the oldest buildings in Orange City. Visitors can view a demonstration on the art of carving wooden shoes either live or on video. Wooden shoes for purchase are available in 20 sizes. Also found for sale here are such Dutch imports as fine Delft, lace, antiques, tiles, and foods.

The French Memorial Museum - Peterson, Iowa
For 95 years Doris French collected dolls and accessory pieces for the dolls and now has them on display for the public to enjoy.
There are over 200 dolls which she has dressed in the times they were made, rare antique furniture including wicker baby buggies and dual-purpose high chairs, toys, one of a kind dishes, tankards, tea sets, cruets, demonstration stoves, lamps, and quilts.

Sweet Corn Days - Esterville, Iowa An annual event with parade, free sweet corn, children’s fishing contest and much more! Held the first weekend in August
The fishing contest starts the event off and is for children 14 and under. The requirement is they must have a parent (or adult supervision), bring their own equipment and MUST USE SWEET CORN FOR BAIT, IT WILL BE PROVIDED!

Siouxland Historical Railroad Museum - Sioux City, Iowa
This museum in Sioux City is located at the historic Milwaukee Railroad roundhouse site. It details the history of the area’s over one hundred thirty-year-old railroad industry through the use of photographs, artifacts, and a large HO-scale model. Its gift shop has a great deal of railroad merchandise.

Sioux City Art Center - Sioux City, Iowa
In a modern building that encompasses 45,500 square feet is housed a permanent collection of 900 works of art, primarily by contemporary Upper Midwest artists.
There is a three-story glass atrium. In a children’s gallery are located 14 interactive stations. Each year the center hosts a number of traveling exhibitions. An annual outdoor art festival is held Labor Day weekend.

Sergeant Floyd Riverboat Museum And Welcome Center - Sioux City, Iowa
This museum is housed in a river inspection ship now drydocked in Sioux City. It was used for 50 years by the Army Corps of Engineer on the Missouri River and was a part of its construction fleet. Here visitors can learn about the history of transportation on that river through rare photographs, artifacts, and dioramas. Here one can see America’s largest collection of scale models of Missouri River steamboats and keelboats.
