Davis County Museum Complex And Historic Country Church – Bloomfield, Iowa
Part of the Davis County Museum Complex the DAVIS COUNTY MUSEUM COMPLEX AND HISTORIC COUNTRY CHURCH shows some of the exhibits at this county museum housed in the Dr. William Findley home which had been constructed in 1844. These depict what life was like in the middle and late 1800s.
In the nearby area visitors can also look at a Mormon, hand-hewn log cabin, built in 1848, a one-room schoolhouse, country church, and a livery barn. There is a mural that depicts the northernmost confederate battle during the Civil War—the battle of Athens.
