Two Saints Winery – St. Charles, Iowa
Just 30 miles south of Des Moines this winery grows it’s own grapes to produce true Iowa wine.
The winery facility will feature a tasting room and gift shop (scheduled to open in 2008), as well as public seating areas overlooking the vineyard. There also will be a pond and various footpaths throughout the property. Building plans also include a reception hall and business meeting rooms. This new facility will certainly be someplace you want to visit.
The first five acres of vines were planted in April 2003, and five more acres were added in 2004. The first wines – eight wines from the vineyard’s 2006 crop – have been released in 2007.
It is the goal of the vineyard to have 20 acres of grapes to produce quality Iowa wines for your enjoyment.
The owners encourage you to stroll through their acres and sip their wine while breathing the fresh air of the countryside. Think of how relaxing a day in the country can be, especially if you are sipping quality wine and nibbling cheese.
The wines are also available with custom labeling for special events such as weddings. Give the best gift you can, personalized wine for a fabulous gift!
