Magicians, stilt walkers, wiener dog races, pie contest, hypnotist, area bands, bike races, kids’ games, a block full of vendors, softball and horse shoe contests, and the largest small town parade in Iowa! The event kicks off with a meal and entertainment from Eileen Dunnegan, Patrick Noon, the Bill Riley Talent Contest, and the 61 Chophouse Karaoke Winners.
Saturday morning begins with the Mediapolis Business Club’s 5k run/walk at 7 a.m. with the Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast from 6-9 a.m. Vendors from all types will line the west side of Cartwright Park selling everything from candles, to jewelry, to perfume and more. Throughout the day and all around the park will be kids’ games, a clown, a dunk tank, Jump For Fun inflatables, pedal tractor pull, wiener dog races, and a stilt walker.
On the main stage throughout the afternoon is music by Chris Tapp, the Mediapolis Community Youth Group, The Huletts, the Larsonaires, and the Methodist Church Band. Also on the main stage is the T&C Days Pie Contest. Comedy Hypnotist Dan Ladd will be this year’s opener at 6 p.m.. The show is a clean, safe, fast-paced laugh riot, and the only type of entertainment where the audience is the star. Headlining this year’s event is the Balster Magic Show. Based out of Chicago the husband and wife team perform a combination of magic, game shows, illusions, and comedy that includes animals, audience participation, and special effects. The Balster Magic Show begins Saturday shortly after 7 p.m. on the main stage at Cartwright Park.
