Miller’s Country Zoo - Greenfield, Iowa
In a beautiful country setting near Greenfield, Iowa, visitors can look at, and pet a few, many different types of animals, such as: bears, llamas, raccoons, buffalo, monkeys, cougars, foxes, peacocks, deer, sheep, goats, and rabbits.
Liberty Hall - Lamoni, Iowa
Former home of Joseph Smith III, son on the Joseph Smith of the Latter Day Saint movement. He lived in this house from 1881 - 1905. This 10 bedroom, large parlor, library, sitting room, dining room and built in drawers in the closets was the home for the Smiths. It is now on the National Rgestier of Historic Places.
Lewis And Clark Keelboat Display - Onawa, IA
In the Lewis and Clarke State Park, a full-size replica of the type of keelboat used by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark on their expedition up the Missouri River and into the Northwest. During a festival held one weekend in June, participants have a chance to relive the lifestyle of that era. At other times, visitors can examine various aspects of the keelboat.

Lamoni Civil War Days Reenactment - Lamoni, Iowa Labor Day weekend celebration in Lamoni consists of the Civil War Days Reenactment.
Relive the 1860’s with this entertaining and educational event for the whole family. The Civil War Dasy begins at 10:30 am on Saturday in teh Central Park with a period fashion show, interactive craft demonstraitons of candle making, rug braiding, rope making, corn husk weaving, quilt and textile presentaitons, children’s games, music, period dance and cemetery tours.
In the area of Onawa visitors can tour several different examples of Iowa in the nineteenth century. The restored Chicago and NorthWestern Railroad depot houses more than 800 items of railroad memorabilia. Nearby one can look at a country school restored to its early appearance and its historical school items, country church, log cabin, firehouse/jail, and blacksmith shop.
Before the city was known as Council Bluffs, early Mormon travelers named it "Kanesville" while making this a major stopping point on their cross-country migration from Nauvoo, Ill. to Salt Lake City, Utah. Today’s Council Bluffs offers many Mormon historical sites.
Johnny Carson Birthplace - Corning, Iowa Born in 1925 this successful entertainer brought joy and laughter to millions during his broadcast career.
Johnny Carson with the impish grin that intrigued people from all walks of life was born in Corning, Iowa. His father was the manager of the local utility company. His mom, Ruth, was responsible, primarily, for raising Johnny and his older sister, Catherine and younger brother, Richard.
In Greenfield is one of the three airplane museums in the state, and it is home to the Iowa Aviation Hall of Fame.
There are 11 early aircraft examples, including some one-of-a-kind models, and 2 military aircraft on display. Most of the civilian planes are from the 1920s to the 1940s, including a 1928 Curtiss Robin, the oldest one known to exist; a 1937 Piper J, and a 1932 Mead Primary Glider made in Germany.
In the latter part of the 19th century, just east of Corning a French communal colony called Icaria was established. This colony appears to have existed from 1852-1898. The museum was established in Corning to house Icarian artifacts and memorabilia and to serve as a place where French ancestors and other colonial histories could be researched. It also has Adams County historical records.
