My father, Richard Crandall, lived in the Dow House as a child with his 4 siblings and his mother and father, Eugene and Winnie Crandall. I’m wondering if there are pictures, brochures etc. showng the inside of the house. I understand that some of my grandfather’s things are on display there. I would like to know if there are any relatives of the Crandall family involved with the house now.
My mother, Kathryn Crandall was a sister of Richard. To the best of my knowledge, there are no Crandall family members involved with the house now. I do know that several of the grandchildren of Eugene and Winnie have been to the house. I was there with my mother many years ago. It was great to have her share memories of her childhood.
My Uncle Maynard Ohl and Aunt Adline owned the Dow House in early 60′s and we have many memories of playing with our Cousins in the yard and scaring ourselfs at night in the large old bedrooms. I travel that way 6 or 7 times a year and when I look up at the old place on the hill it reminds me of a very special time.
